Cherry Pie Mix - Yellow Box Cake

Ingredients

• 1 box yellow cake (18-1/4 oz.)
• 1 can cherry pie filling
• 3 eggs
• Optional topping: 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 2 tsp. flour
• 1 tsp. cinnamon
• 2 tsp. butter
• 1/2 cup chopped pecans
• Cream cheese frosting: 6 oz. cream cheese
• 1 lb powdered sugar (2 1/2 cups)
• 1/2 cup soft butter

Directions

1. Beat this all till well blended.
2. Pour in 13x9x2 baking pan.
3. You can put on this topping or (not): 1/2 cup brown sugar mixed with 2 tsp. flour, 1 tsp. cinnamon and 2 tsp. butter.
4. When mixed, sprinkle on top of cake; add 1/2 cup chopped pecans.
5. I made it without the topping and when cool I frosted it with cream cheese frosting.
6. For the frosting, cream together the cream cheese, powdered sugar and soft butter in small bowl, then frost cold cake.
