The story behind it
My hubby is a southern born & bred man & when I created this recipe he declared that it was so good it would make you want to slap your mamma. In the South that just means it’s so good it made you loose your senses. Anyway it took me loads of try’s to perfect a healthier version of a nana bread that tastes as good as a regular recipe. But in my many attempts the recipe grew and I ended up with one bunt pan & 2 loaf pans. But it gets gone so fast. Also the hubby likes choco chips in the middle . We have even put peanut butter chips or Reese’s in the center. Just be sure to flour whatever you put in the center or it will sink to the bottom. Great with real butter when hot or cold.
