  1. I remember once we live by a tator farmer and my Mamma well she took them tators and made all sorts of things. As I recall we didn't have much of anything else at that time but Mamma took those tators and made somethin to satisfy her hungry brood every day.
  2. She made fried tators, scalloped tators, tator pancakes, tator soup, mashed tator, baked tators, tator patties and some things I don't even have a name for.
  3. When she found some honey under an old chicken house floor, you'd of thought she found pure gold. And when she made us a sweet using honey, flour and tators well we thought so to.
  4. My Mamma could take 1 pack of hamburger meat and make it last forever. She knew how to mix in fillers like rice, tators or homemade noodles to stretch the meat that we had.
  5. She may not know this but she taught me without even knowin it just how to take whatever I have no matter how small and make something worth eatin. She inspired me and created in me a fascination with food.
  6. Now when not much food is in my house & no money is in the bank, I do like my Mamma did and create somethin outa next ta nothin.
  7. And well those dishes are simply the very best of all!

The story behind it

This here is dedicated to my Mamma. I was sittin here lookin back after making a very simple dish and I thought of Mamma. For ya see my Mamma could take next ta nothin and when she was done well all five of her kids had somethin in their bellys.
